Football Career Online changes every week, often because a player asked for something. Here is everything that has landed, newest first.

  1. New

    Guides and Champions Cup history

    • Ten in-depth guides: auction strategy, blind auctions, beating the AI managers, negotiations, tactics, contracts, the academy, Magic Nights and running a league with friends.
    • A page for every Champions Cup season since 1990–91, with the format, the champions, the strongest squads and the best players.
    • A redesigned About page and a rewritten How to play page.

    Blind auction reveals and quicker pages

    • Blind auctions now reveal every sealed bid after each player is sold, on a podium with each manager’s name.
    • The fixtures page loads one matchweek at a time and no longer slows down late in the season.
    • Stats, transfers and squad pages load several times faster.
  3. Improved

    Smarter computer managers and budget control

    • Computer managers coach their clubs through the season. On Hard and Impossible they get far more out of a squad than its ratings suggest.
    • Computer managers invest their money wisely at the auction: quality players get the money, filler does not.
    • A new auction setting hides the other managers’ budgets.
    • Move money between your transfer budget and your wage budget at any time.
    • Seasons on your profile stay with the right career, even after its save is cleared.

    Instant final hammer

    • The last player of an auction is sold instantly; the season is built while the final podium shows.
    • The end of a season and Wrapped load much faster.

    Road to Glory and manager progression

    • Road to Glory: twenty solo challenges across cup runs, league careers and auctions.
    • Manager XP and a challenge leaderboard.
    • Follow Magic Nights matches live, change tactics and make substitutions.

    Real managers and bidding wars

    • Computer managers are real managers, chosen by difficulty: journeymen on Easy up to the all-time greats on Impossible.
    • Computer managers can be added to an auction with friends.
    • The machines now fight each other for players.
    • A Vs AI leaderboard and five new achievements.
    • Season Wrapped plays in sync on every screen.

    Solo auctions against the computer

    • Play an auction alone against three to eight computer managers, on Easy, Medium, Hard or Impossible.
    • Pause a solo auction at any time.
    • A Contracts tab and a clearer youth academy.
    • Matchweeks simulate about ten times faster.

    Magic Nights, long careers and achievements

    • Magic Nights: replay any Champions Cup season since 1990–91.
    • Careers can last up to fifty seasons, with ageing, development, retirements, contracts and a youth academy.
    • Transfer negotiations with counter-offers.
    • A redesigned trophy cabinet and a global leaderboard.

    Football Career Online launches

    • Private leagues with friends in six European leagues, with real squads.
